About the name…
Sarah Strong means to persevere, even if you have failed. It means always doing the right thing in all situations, even if it goes against what everyone else is doing. Being Sarah strong is looking into the face of adversity but still putting in the work to go where you want to go. It means you have integrity, are unafraid to say what you feel and can do so without hurting people’s feelings. You are willing to understand all sides to a story and show dedication to those working towards bigger and better things, honestly. It means you have patience, compassion, and empathy to give to everyone who crosses your path. Finally, it means you want to change people’s lives while leading and teaching them to see what they are capable of.
These are all things people have said to me about who I am over the years. I can tell you that I am absolutely awful at receiving compliments. As selfish as I can be at times and love attention, it is very awkward to hear those things about myself. However, this is why I am exactly in the profession that I am in. I am humble, yet I am able to use my voice to educate, lead, advocate, and learn about what I do not understand.
I finished my Master’s in Nursing in March 2024 and am a certified Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in gerontology, as that is where my heart is! I live in central Florida on 10 acres with my boyfriend and our three dogs. I am a CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting athlete, a heavy metal fan, and I love coffee! My life path is that I will only continue to grow as a provider, a healthcare expert, a writer, and an athlete. My goal is to help patients, businesses, and colleagues in any way I can.
